Son muchos los vínculos que pueden establecerse entre ciencia y arte. En este libro se exploran dos. El primero traza un itinerario que amarra el movimiento plástico del cubismo a la teoría especial de la relatividad. El segundo enlaza, a nivel epistemológico, la fotografía a las matemáticas. En el primero de los dos ensayos que componen este libro mostramos que el problema de la luz y el movimiento condujo, por una parte, de la reflexión abierta por el impresionismo a la solución geométrica del cubismo; por otra, de la aparente incongruencia abierta por el electromagnetismo, a la solución geométrica de la relatividad especial. Dicho de otro modo: al perseguir la luz, para entender su naturaleza, la ciencia y el arte cambiaron la geometría del mundo.
