The objective of this volume is to present in an easily accessible format the richness of the dialogues from the 2009 meeting at Sharm el Sheikh. It presents extended and edited extracts of the main sessions, as well as the Reports on the workshops and other events that were submitted by their organizers. In addition, to help set the context, the volume includes a set of background papers by an internationally diverse set of expert participants that illuminate the Internet Governance Forum’s treatment to date of its main substantive themes, as well as its unique procedural dynamics.
