About this book
Fiódor Dostoiévski Mikháilovitch was born in Moscow in 1821 and died in St. Petersburg in 1881. He is recognized as one of the greatest writers in Soviet and international literature. "Notes from Underground" is Dostoevsky's darkest and strangest work. The book offers a powerful refutation of Enlightenment and idealism, as well as the promises of socialist utopianism.
