El papa san Símaco levantó una basílica sobre su sepulcro y el papa san Gregorio Magno convocaba allí a los fieles, para que recibieran el testimonio del verdadero amor cristiano. El 12 de mayo se conmemora el día de su sepultura. En la oración colecta del día de su memoria, le pedimos al Señor «que se alegre tu Iglesia, confiada en la protección de san Pancracio». La protección de los mártires nos llena de alegría porque testimonia la cercanía de Dios.
