The book “Plant Development” is written to cater to the needs of post-graduate students of Botany. It is written according to the UGC curriculum. It has been dived into 21 chapters. Anatomy in relation to taxonomy is given in the subsequent chapters. The UGC curriculum in this paper includes aspects of Dormancy. Senescence, Abscission and Programmed cell Death in Plants. These are given at the end. Thus the book gives both conventional and modern aspects of Plant Development.
