About this book

The Axis emerged from successive diplomatic efforts by Germany, Italy, and Japan to secure their own expansionist interests in the mid-1930s. The Axis described its goals as breaking the hegemony of the Western plutocratic powers, i.e. those under the influence or power of money, and defending civilization against communism. I used the board game "A World at War" by GMT Games. In this and other historical simulations, I do not decide my hypotheses based on the ideology and/or morals of one side or the other; I am a republican and a democrat; I am against extremism and prejudices of any kind; I do seek to study political, strategic, military strategic, operational strategic and/or tactical variants.
