À propos de ce livre
During World War I, Brazil maintained a neutral position, backed by the Hague Convention, seeking to avoid restrictions on its exports at the time, especially coffee. After the sinking of Brazilian merchant ships by Imperial German Navy submarines, Brazil declared war on Germany on October 26, 1917, joining the Entente. Brazil was the only Latin American country to participate in the war, sending from the Navy the Naval War Operations Division (DNOG). In developing this my simulation of this naval campaign, I used combined adaptations of the board games Fear God and Dread Nought by Clash of Arms Games and Bomb Alley by Avalanche Press. In this my counterfactual scenario, the Ministry of the Navy, in the second half of November 1917 – two months before the historic event on January 30, 1918 – would have constituted the DNOG with its means of greater capacity to project power, in addition to those that effectively constituted it, that is, it would not fail to insist on sending the protected cruiser Barroso and the battleships Minas Geraes and São Paulo.
