Remembering Old Jamestown

Founded by Quakers in the late eighteenth century, Jamestown, North Carolina, has a rich heritage that distinguishes it from many neighboring Southern communities. From General Cornwallis in the waning years of the American Revolution to the flight of Jefferson Davis from the Confederate capital at Richmond with Union forces at his heels, history has not passed Jamestown by.
