Traditional Phytotherapy

The North Eastern Region of India possesses more than 2,000 medicinal and aromatic plant species accounting for about 20 per cent of the total plant diversity of India. This volume is the collection of 18 selected full papers submitted for the seminar held on 2nd and 3rd December, 2010 at Namrup College, Assam, India with the theme “ Recent Trends in Traditional Phytotherapy: Safety, Effecacy, Drug Discovery and Priority Issue”. The book is expected to help the students, researchers and NGOs who wish to work or are working towards this field for the welfare of North East India.
