In the present book, attempts have been made to understand the realistic condition of the fisheries of Chilka lagoon both in past and during present days so as to get in idea of the present situation and future fate of the lake fishery together with the present condition of the lagoon fishermen, who are enjoying the traditional fishing rights in Chilka lake from time immemorial. It is hoped that the book will be quite useful for students, teachers, environmentalists, ecologists and researchers already in environmental science and fisheries.
