The book has been designed not only as a textbook for students of Management, Communication but also for general readers interested in developing the communication skills. Further, it may be of value to management trainers. The first chapter stresses the importance of role of communication in all walks of human life and significance in organization. The objectives of communication, the effective communication are dealt with in the chapter. The communication process, various communication models, communication modes, barriers in communication and ways to overcome these barriers have been dealt with in subsequent chapters. The last two chapters are devoted to the art of effective communication skills.
