Open Justice: An Innovation-Driven Agenda for Inclusive Societies

This second, enlarged edition of Open Justice (Justicia Abierta) is a new contribution of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights of Argentina to the Open Justice movement. This global movement advocates the application of Open State principles (transparency, public participation, accountability and open innovation) to the justice sector. This work brings together contributions from a wide variety of authors, seeking to reflect the state of the art of Open Justice both in Argentina and much of the world. It proposes a theoretical framework for its implementation and addresses issues such as the role of international institutions (particularly the Open Government Partnership) and civil society, the importance of adopting a gender perspective, or the role of the UN 2030 Agenda, among others, in order to build an innovation-driven justice, focused on people’s needs and expectations. Esta segunda edición aumentada de Justicia Abierta (Open Justice) es un nuevo aporte del Ministerio de Justicia y Derechos Humanos de la Argentina al movimiento de Justicia Abierta. Dicho movimiento propone a nivel global la aplicación de los principios de Estado abierto (transparencia, participación pública, rendición de cuentas e innovación abierta) al sector justicia. Esta obra reúne aportes de una amplia variedad de autores y busca reflejar el estado del arte de la Justicia Abierta tanto en Argentina como en buena parte del mundo. Propone un marco teórico para su implementación y aborda cuestiones tales como el rol de las instituciones internacionales (en particular la Alianza para el Gobierno Abierto) y la sociedad civil, la importancia de adoptar una perspectiva de género o el rol la Agenda 2030 de las Naciones Unidas, entre otras, a fin de construir una justicia basada en la innovación, centrada en las necesidades y expectativas de las personas.
