Sayers (1893 – 1957) was a British writer, poet and scholar, famed for her detective fiction featuring the iconic character of Lord Peter Wimsey. Robert Eustace (1868 – 1943) was the pen name of English doctor Eustace Robert Barton. Famed for his writing of mystery and crime fiction, his medical knowledge often informed his work, and resulted in a series of successful collaborations with other crime writers.
