Tulasi Ram Das is a former professor of electrical and electronics engineering, University College of Engineering (Autonomous), Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad, Telangana State, India. He also served as academic administrator as Registrar, and Director, Academic and Planning, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad, India, and as Vice-Chancellor, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, India. Presently he is working as professor of Emeritus in Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad.            He holds doctoral degree from Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), Master degree from Osmania University, Hyderabad, and Bachelor degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) in electrical and electronics engineering.             He also supervised 29 research scholars for the award of doctoral degrees, about 80 and more than 100 dissertation theses of post-graduate and under-graduate students respectively, in the areas of advanced Power Electronic Converters, Electrical Motor Drives, Flexible AC power Transmission Systems, Power Quality in Distribution Systems, Renewable Energy Sources, and Hybrid Electric Vehicles. He has contributed more than 170 Technical Research Papers published in the refereed International and National Journals and conference proceedings along with his scholars, during his 35 years of academic service in JNTU Hyderabad.He is a fellow of Institute of Engineers (India), fellow of Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineers (India), Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Member of Solar Energy Society of India (SESI), and Life Member of Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE).
