Isaac Asimov was an American writer, considered one of the most important science fiction writers of the 20th century. Asimov was born in Petrovichi, Russia, on January 2, 1920. At the age of three, he moved with his family to the United States, where he was raised in the Brooklyn neighborhood of New York.
