Daniel Kraus's Angel Down has won the 2026 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. It is a novel about five WWI soldiers who find a fallen angel — told in a single unbroken sentence. The Pulitzer board called it breathless. One imagines Kraus himself had to breathe at some point.
