Research Methodology

This book consists of nine chapters, well arranged in a coherent manner. Chapter one gives the meaning of research. It also gives importance of management research. The scientific research and social science research are discussed in second chapter. Third chapter brings out the importance of scientific method. The research process gives all details of conducting a research. This is explained in fourth chapter. Research design as discussed in fifth chapter highlights all important steps the researcher should follow in conducting research. The important aspect of research is the method of data collection, all important steps to be followed in connection with data collection are systematically explained in sixth chapter. Statistical device is additional tool to conduct the research and different statistical measures must be fully acquainted by the research student and hence an attempt is made in seventh chapter to explain these measures. The case study method is explained in eighth chapter. Report writing is an art and its importance cannot be underestimated. A full note to present report is given in the last chapter. This book will also serve the purpose of text book for graduate and M. Phil students of Research Methodology. It will also be useful as a text for the students of Management Courses, viz. M.B.A., M.P.M., M.M.S., M.S.W., P.G.D.B.A., P.G.D.H.R.D. etc.
