Jake Todd hoped that putting a mountain range between himself and his old life would be enough to help him heal. After the betrayal that ended his last relationship, taking a job as the new doctor at Ridgemont Search and Rescue felt like the perfect escape: busy, demanding, and far away from the heartbreak he left behind.
