Ashford Hall

Thomas Whitmore has struggled his entire life to fit in with upper-class British society as the son of an English doctor and an Indian woman. Despite his long-standing friendship with Charles Ashford, the younger brother of the current Lord Ashford, the peerage continues to snub him.  Arthur Ashford comes across as cold and arrogant as he is wealthy and handsome. In truth, he wears that mask to protect his lonely heart from those who see only his title, not the man he truly is. After Thomas is invited by Charles to the prestigious Ashford Hall for the summer, a spark between Thomas and Arthur flashes into a fire, which neither man can ignore and will leave them changed forever. However, any happily-ever-after they might find will be hard won as they navigate class differences, the attitudes of the early Victorian era, the machinations of the gentry, and a shadowy plot against Ashford Hall itself. Set in the 1850s in the idyllic English countryside, Ashford Hall is written as a pastiche of 1800s romance novels with a queer twist.
